STEP 1: EDUCATION

STEP 2: SAFE TEST WITH PROMETRIC

• Make an appointment and complete your Safe Test with Prometric.

• Request an account and check your results on the NMLS database after 72 hours.

STEP 3: APPLICATION

• Submit your payment and MU4 application with NMLS.

• To qualify, you must pass both a credit and a background check.

STEP 4: STATUS

• Request ‘approved-inactive’ status for licensing on the NMLS website.

STEP 5: AFTER OBTAINING A LICENSE

• You need to establish a relationship between yourself and “Layton Financial Services Corp” with NMLS. Please login to your NMLS account and update your company affiliation to 'Layton Financial Services Corp’ - License # 1922806. (Please be sure the name matches exactly.) If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact NMLS directly as they are the best point of contact for direction. Please refrain from reaching out to STATE regulators unless specifically directed to do so by Layton Mortgage.
